Today’s spotlight author: Lisa Manifold
Novel featured in the Dark Fates boxed set: Three Wishes
What I wouldn’t give for a do-over…
That’s the overwhelming thought for Tibby Holloway after a long night of eating too much ice cream and going over her missed chances.
She wakes up the next morning to find a free-lancing djinn sitting on her bed who makes her what could be the offer of a lifetime. He’ll give her three chances-three wishes-to go back and change her life. She can change her career, find the man she loves, go back and do it right this time.
But there’s a catch.
She can’t stay in any of the new lives her wishes create. Once she’s gone back three times, the djinn will decide where she ends up.
To find out what might have been, she has to give up control over what will be.
Would it be better to not even know?
That is a chance she’ll have to take-if she wants to have her Three Wishes.
Excerpt from Three Wishes:
I walked into the conference room. This would be a piece of cake. The dispute wasn’t all that big of a deal, although our client was making one out of it. Like all Granddad’s friends, everything was a big deal. Probably why they were all, to a man, rich as Croesus. Maybe I needed to get that mindset.
Then I laughed and shrugged such a thought away. I’d go insane. Kind of like most of Granddad’s friends.
“Mr. Barrington?” I held out my hand to the older gentleman in the room. He stood with two younger men, and he turned when I said his name.
“I’m Tabitha Holloway, and this is my partner, Bryant Higgs. We represent—”
Two different voices called me by my nickname. Both held tones of shock and surprise. I opened my mouth to respond when I looked, really looked at who was talking to me.
Oh my god. I felt faint suddenly when I realized who they were.
Just as suddenly, I looked around for the telltale flash of glitter. I was going to end up back in my room four years earlier. I could feel it.
Lisa Manifold is fortunate to live in the amazing state of Colorado with her husband, two kids, two dogs, and one offended cat. She enjoys skiing and carting kids and dogs to wherever they need to go, and she adores “treasure hunting” at local thrift stores. Her other hobbies include costuming within her favorite fandoms and periods.
Lisa is very (probably overly) involved with her regional writers’ organization, Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers. To her great surprise and delight, Lisa was awarded the RMFW 2016 Independent Writer of the Year award. She is the author of the Sisters Of The Curse series, the Heart of the Djinn series, The Realm series, the latter two which have books releasing in 2017, and a new series called The Aumahnee Prophecy.
